69th WDA / 14th EWDA - Joint Virtual Conference - Cuenca, Spain August 31 - September 2

Enter the Enchanted City and look out through the Devil

Only a few kilometres away from Cuenca, the karstic landscape offers an amazing experience for lovers of nature photography in one of the most emblematic enclaves in the Serranía de Cuenca: The famous Enchanted City. We will take you on a comfortable hike through some of the most beautiful places within this singular natural city of impressive rock formations, which is the outcome of karstic processes. Here, we will discover the geomorphological origin of one the best representations of the karstic landscape worldwide. Then, in our way back to Cuenca, we will visit The Devil’s Window, a very special natural balcony made of rock that overlooks the deep gorge excavated by the Júcar River.
